THE DEVELOPMENT JOURNAL

Notes from the journey

This is where I write about the development of the game, the problems I encounter, the things I learn and the strange little ideas that somehow make it into the game.

Debugging...

Codex Tempus development

Today was mostly about debugging.

Fixing small things, chasing unexpected behaviour, and making sure everything works as it should. Not the most exciting part of game development, but definitely one of the necessary ones.

The journey is getting close to its first destination.

The game is almost ready...

Codex Tempus development

After months of working on the game, the main gameplay is finally coming together.

There are still things to polish, bugs to fix and a lot of small details to take care of. But for the first time, I can actually see the finished game hiding behind all those lines of code.

I'm thinking about starting to share the progress of Codex Tempus on YouTube.

THE GAME

What is Codex Tempus?

Codex Tempus: The Da Vinci Paradox is a small time-travel adventure game made by Robert Ksiazek, an independent solo developer.

A mysterious portal, a journey into the past and a manuscript connected to one of history's greatest minds.

Coming to Android.
Saving up for Apple so iOS can join the party. 😂

BEHIND THE GAME

One person. One game.

Codex Tempus is being created independently, piece by piece, usually in the time left after work and everyday life.

No big studio. No huge team. Just an idea, a computer and a lot of evenings spent trying to make that idea real.
